Astbury Lakeside Congleton - News Update June 2008

New Restaurant Progress. Following the grant of Outline Planning Permission in Spring of 2007 [see illustration] detailed Planning Permission was granted in December 2007 by Congleton Borough Council for a Restaurant and Play Barn on an elevated site overlooking the mere. Jokaro Ltd completed the sale of this plot of land at the end of February 2008 and the purchaser is currently on site builiding this exciting new facility for Astbury Mere.

For the avoidance of doubt, please note that this new Restaurant is entirely separate from the existing Indian Restaurant at Astbury Mere , The Rawal Bay, which is not owned by Jokaro Ltd and is not affected by these proposals.

 

Further Development Proposals. A Planning Application (ref 08/0848/FUL) was submitted in May 2008 for the construction of 2 detached houses to be built on the plot of land fronting Newcastle Road and lying to the north of the Mere access road. To see the scheme just click on:
